ColoHouse Phase II

Quest Construction built the 1st facility in Downtown Miami for ColoHouse in 2008, and because of our great relationship with our customers we have completed a 6K SF expansion in the same building for them.ColoHouse new expansion includes a generator paralleling gear that will insure their clients with ultimate reliability with their equipment maintenances. A new 1 Meg generator was installed to provide emergency power systems to new expansion, along with Powerware (Eaton) UPS systems. The UPS systems have the ultimate power management technology provided by Eaton, which gives customers and ColoHouse reliability and ultimate performance. Branch Circuit monitoring greatly reduces the risk of a customer impact by early overload monitoring/detection is one of the many features provided by the UPS system.

Quest Construction converted an empty unused floor space into a new 6,000 sq. ft. Collocation Facility located in downtown Miami. Quest Construction installed and commissioned 2- 275 KVA Powerware® Uninterruptible Power System, external battery cabinets, maintenance bypass panel provided additional utility power form FPL to new electrical distribution cabinets, designed, provided and installed new lighting with dual technology sensors to conserve power usage, provided infrastructure for fiber management trays, grounding, equipment cabinets, raised floor tray systems.

Quest Construction provide design, design support, and all required permitting, since Quest Construction is also a state certified electrical contractor costumer gain the services since this is a key component of the Colocation industry

Quest Construction provided all interior wall partitions, acoustical ceilings, curtain walls, raised flooring, doors, light fixtures, window treatments, electrical distribution systems & devices, Liebert HVAC units associated raised flooring ductwork, Double interlock fire suppression equipment & piping, Isle grounding.An HVAC system was installed with a glycol base redundant pump system, provide an efficient and manageable cooling system providing cost savings in the day to day operations along with means to create hot and cold isles.

Quest Construction provided valuable constructability review of the plans in progress prior to issuing the plans for permitting. Value engineering and cost reduction reviews were performed to reduce cost and provide ColoHouse with savings. An access control system with Biometric access readers along with new CCTV surveillance IP network gives ColoHouse and customers a great sense of security within the facility.
